Teresa Maltby, RSM, holds a BA in English from Saint Xavier University, an MA in Religious Studies from Mundelein College in Chicago, and a DMin from the University of Chicago where she received the Rhind Award. From 1998-2006, Sister Terry served on the leadership team of the Sisters of Mercy, Chicago Regional Community. Her primary ministry for many years was in sponsorship and healthcare governance, including the National Catholic Healthcare Coalition. Past governance experience includes Presence Health Network and chair of the Public Juridic Person, Presence Health Ministries. She served a term on the national board of the American Health Association, and two terms on the national board of the Catholic Health Association. She currently serves on the boards of Mercycare Service Corporation and Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. She was founding executive director of the Collaborative Sponsor Formation Program. She has been a frequent presenter at governance and sponsorship programs, recorded several DVDs, and written numerous articles.
What kind of a Church do we want for our future? What do we need to DO as Catholics and Church members to bring a desired future Church into being? We can’t and ought not to simply sit in the pews. God the Spirit lives within us and calls us to action.
