Dr. Jimmy Walters is a Catholic advocate, author and speaker on issues of the spirituality of fatherhood, charity and justice, and leadership discernment. He lives on Long Island, with his beloved wife, Suzie and their two daughters, Shea and Lily.

Dr. Walters serves as the NGO Representative to the United Nations for the Sisters of Charity Federation, advocating for human rights and human dignity with a special focus on poverty, homelessness, the rights of women and girls, and climate change.

Prior to working at the United Nations, Dr. Walters served in leadership in ministry at St. John’s University for nearly two decades, overseeing a variety of ministry, service, and justice initiatives.

Dr. Walters also facilitates retreats for professionals and young adults in the New York Metro area. He also facilitates courses and workshops on youth and young adult ministry and he led two separate youth ministry programs in the Brooklyn Diocese for over 20 years.

Walters is a published author of three books, and he is the host of two podcasts, one focusing on Catholic fatherhood and the second on his healing journey from cancer.
