Mary Ann Clarahan, RSM, holds a doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Institute of Liturgy from Sant’Anselmo in Rome, Italy; an MA in Liturgical Studies from The Catholic University of America; an MA in Catholic School Leadership from Boston College; and a BS in Education from Gwynedd Mercy College (University). The majority of her ministry has been in education from elementary to university level. Her areas of research and publication have been in liturgical catechesis and sacramental theology especially an understanding of sacrament as God’s gift/gift giving. While in Rome, she served as full-time faculty and staff member of the Pontifical College of St. Bede Seminary as well as adjunct professor of theology at several pontifical universities. From 2016-2020, she ministered as local coordinator at the Convent of Mercy, Merion, Pennsylvania. Currently, she serves as a coordinator of parish services at St. Margaret Parish in Narberth, Pennsylvania, and guest lecturer at the Institute of Christian Formation at St. Charles Seminary, in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania.
