Fran Repka, RSM, holds a BSN from the University of Cincinnati, an MA in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit, and an EdD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She is a licensed psychologist and a certified spiritual director from the Jesuit Center of Spirituality in Guelph, Canada, and completed an internship in spiritual direction at Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. She also did sabbatical studies in theology, at the Weston School of Theology, Boston. She established a Counseling Center for Religious and Clergy of which she was director for 13 years. Soon after, she founded Mercy Professional Services, a large counseling center for the poor and underserved. She has also  served as a facilitator for many religious orders, led several workshops on spirituality and psychology in the United States and abroad, and served on non-profit boards. She has written several articles in various religious publications as well as a book Dying with Grace: A Conscious Commitment to the Dying Process. She enjoys writing poetry best of all.
