Charlotte Tomaino holds a PhD in neuropsychology from City University of New York City with additional training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and Temple Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut. Her dedication is to helping patients develop practical solutions for the loss of brain function through falls, strokes, aneurisms, and other traumatic incidents. A former Maryknoll sister, she draws on her own experience of the effect of spirituality on mental health. Her unique focus on the effects of thought and spirituality on the brain have garnered national media attention in Time magazine, and the New York Times for her groundbreaking work in neuroscience. She is a popular speaker at keynotes and conventions. She is the author of Awakening the Brain: The Neuropsychology of Grace (Atria/New York: Simon and Schuster, 2012).
