Boreta A. Singleton, RSM, is a Temporary Professed member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. She has been a Catholic school teacher in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and teacher and administrator in New York City, New York, and in Jersey City, New Jersey, in schools sponsored by the Jesuits. She holds degrees in music, liturgy, theology, pastoral care and counseling and certificates in spiritual direction and supervision. Currently, she is the Associate Director for Mission Integration and Formation for the Institute Ministry Office. Boreta loves to sing and belongs to the New York City based choir, The Ignatian Schola.

Oh, With What Joy

I was asked to join the children’s choir in First Grade, on the edge of Vatican II, and so I began learning some of the well-used Marian Latin Hymns like Salve Regina and Regina Coeli.
